In the event of an official COVID-19 travel restriction – whether at home or in France – which causes our cancellation of your tour, you will receive a full refund.
Official COVID-19 travel restrictions include:
- The U.S. Department of State issues a Level 4: Do Not Travel Global Health Advisory, or the government in the guest’s country of residence restricts all but essential travel
- The U.S. Department of State issues a Level 4: Do Not Travel due to COVID-19 for France, or the government in the guest’s country of residence issues a comparable advisory
- France has entry restrictions in place that prohibit the guest from traveling, such as closed borders or extended quarantine requirements
- International flights are cancelled without alternative routing available for guest to be able to reach France
Guests are responsible for non-refundable air fees, insurance and other related costs. All other standard terms and conditions apply to the booking. Special terms are subject to change and can be withdrawn at any time.

2023 tour prices are guaranteed upon receipt of your deposit. Until then SLL Perigord Travel reserves the right to change tour prices in response to Euro/USD currency fluctuations.
Gratuities for the tour director, local guides, chauffeurs and servers are optional and should be extended on a voluntary basis at the end of your tour. We recommend 150€ to 200€ total per guest/per tour to be given directly to the SLL Perigord Travel Tour Director who will distribute the gratuities among the people who have helped to make your stay a memorable one.
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are included every day starting with dinner on the first night and ending with breakfast on the last day.
A continental breakfast is included with all accommodations. Lunches and dinners will have pre-selected options for you to choose from. Lunch includes a first course, a main course, and one glass of wine or a coffee. Dinner includes a first course, a main course, and a dessert. At the dinners in Paris and Bordeaux, selected wines will be served (1/3 bottle per person). At the Perigord guest house, beer and wines will be available for purchase.
Our tours involve a moderate amount of walking (typically two to three miles per day), often uphill or on uneven or cobblestone streets. You must be able to get on and off trains and passenger vans on your own; we regret that we cannot provide individual assistance with luggage handling. Please note that this itinerary, for reasons beyond our control, does not accommodate wheelchairs.
Our guests stay in 4-star hotels in both Paris and Bordeaux. In the Perigord region, the accommodations are in luxury guest houses which are privatized for our tours.
A deposit of $1,000 U.S. dollars per person confirms your reservation. Your deposit is fully refundable up to 120 days before departure. Full payment is due at least 120 days prior to departure. If you make your reservation after the final payment due date, payment in full will be required upon reservation.
All cancellation requests must be submitted to us in writing via email. You will receive a full refund for any cancellations made 120 days or more before departure. SLL Perigord Travel does not offer insurance and recommends that all travelers on our tours purchase international travel insurance with medical coverage as well as trip cancellation coverage and protection against lost, stolen or damaged luggage. A passport valid for at least six months after the completion of your tour is required for U.S. citizens on all of our tours. Visas are not required for U.S. citizens who stay in France for less than 90 days. If you are not a U.S. citizen, please contact your embassy or consulate to ensure you obtain the proper documentation.
Airport transfers are not included. Licensed taxis from CDG airport to Paris have fixed prices: 58€ to left bank, 53€ to right bank. A 2€ tip is customary. Luggage does not cost more. The hotel can arrange for a taxi to take you back to the airport at the end of the trip. Ubers are also widely available.
We recommend packing light since luggage handling is not available. Bring comfortable clothes and shoes as our tours involve a moderate amount of walking, often uphill or on uneven or cobblestone streets. A warm sweater or light jacket is a must for cooler mornings and for cave visits. Most evenings on the tour are casual; for the restaurant dinners, it is preferable not to wear shorts, but jacket and tie are not necessary. Also, don’t forget a bathing suit if you would like to use the pool in Perigord.
A washing machine and dryer will be available for your use mid-trip. Dry cleaning is not available.
